On TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 2010 at 5 p.m. the first ever Western Wisconsin Bicycle Summit will be held at the RADISSON CENTER, 200 HARBORVIEW PLAZA, LA CROSSE.

This event will bring together bicyclists from the region - recreational, racers, off road and commuters - plus businesses and government officials to learn how support for bicycling and bicycle infrastructure can benefit the Coulee Region.

The summit it sponsored by local individuals and groups and the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin to bring together the large regional bicycling community plus government, business and planning entities to learn how support for bicycling can help bring in more tourist dollars, expand job opportunities, improve the health of our citizens and alleviate traffic problems.

Our keynote speaker will be John Burke, CEO of Trek Bicycles,

Human Powered Trails Inc. will be holding another! Chainsaw Safety Class on Wednesday, Sept 2nd, 2009.

*This training will be led by Jim Olive from the Forest Industry Safety & Training Alliance Inc. (F.I.S.T.A.)

When: This is a one day training held all day Wednesday, Sept 2nd  from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

*Please note that HPT requires all volunteers to have completed this training before operating a chainsaw at HPT functions.

altOn Saturday, Sept 12th we will have an extraordinary TrailFest to give a BIG THANKS to all our Volunteers!

Activities will be similar to previous TrailFests including Guided MTB Rides and Hikes for all... But will be followed by a special dinner!  The PIG will doing flips all day in preparation for the final TrailFest of the year!
