trailfest.jpgWHEN: Saturday – Sept 6th – 3:30pm
WHERE: HPT Trailhead (Directions)
WHO: Everyone is Invited!

Human Powered Trails is holding ANOTHER "Trail Fest/Ride Gala" to celebrate the trails and say thanks to our many volunteers (past, present and future)!

If you have been wondering about what HPT does or how to get involved, this is also a great opportunity to have some fun, eat some great food and meet others involved in building better trails for the La Crosse area.

We will start the day with a number of group rides for every level of rider. All rides will be lead by experienced HPT Volunteers.

The Beginner Ride (Small Ring) is a great way to learn how to ride a mountain bike, or improve your skills. There are also many other rides if you are not familiar with the trails, or just want to enjoy a group ride...  No matter what your ability we'll have experienced volunteers to guide you around some of the best built trails in the midwest - right in your own back yard!

Changes from previous Ride Gala will include splitting the Intermediate Ride (Middle Ring) into additional groups based on aerobic fitness and ability; to make sure nobody gets in "over their head".

RIDES:
- Kid's Ride -
Parents... bring your kids for some great outdoor fun! We will have HPT Ride Volunteers to guide your kids around the new HPT Dirt Park, as well as possibly riding on some beginner level trails. Parents are invited to stay, or drop the kids off and enjoy your own ride with another group.
Duration: 1-1.5 hours
Meet: 3:30pm
Ride Departs promptly at: 4:00pm

- Women's Ride -
An all-inclusive, women's-only ride. Come meet fellow women riders and sample some awesome singletrack.

Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours
Meet: 3:30pm
Ride Departs promptly at: 4:10pm

- Small Ring -
An intro/beginner-level ride for folks that have very little to no experience on a mountain bike. This is a great way to learn, ask questions and meet new people while enjoying some of HPT's finest trails.
Ability Level: Beginner
Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours
Meet: 3:30pm
Ride Departs promptly at: 4:15pm

- Middle Ring -
An intermediate-level ride that is a bit longer and a bit more challenging than the Small Ring Ride. Expect to ride moderately difficult trails, both in terms of aerobic and technical challenge.
Ability Level: Intermediate
Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours
Meet at: 3:30pm
Ride Departs promptly at: 4:05pm

After the fun is done at HPT - I'm sure there will be a few of us going to listen to Chris Bonelli's band Heavy Water. They will be playing at Fox Hollow @ 9:00pm. It's only a few short minutes from HPT!
