Press Conference at the Human Powered Trails: May 6th, 2008 at 10:00 am.

This year, Human Powered Trails Inc. (HPT) received both local and national grants totaling over 40,000 dollars. On May 6th, 2008, at 10:00 am, HPT will host a press day to publicly express our gratitude for the donations granted to our organization. The press conference will be held at the HPT trailhead/parking lot on Cty. Hwy. FA, adjacent to the La Crosse weather station. All members of the press, coulee region citizens, and those interested in our shared-use trail system are welcome to attend. After a few opening remarks by Dan Luebke, HPT board president, a question and answer session will follow. There will also be time for photographs and individual interviews with members of HPT and our supporting organizations.

The Human Powered Trails Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and maintain first class sustainable and environmentally correct, human-powered, shared-use trails for the La Crosse, WI region. The funds granted were used to purchase the equipment necessary to carry out this mission. At the press day on May 6th, we will showcase our new “Ditch Witch,” a recently purchased trail building machine that will greatly enhance our ability to expand and improve the existing trail system.
