altHuman Powered Trails is sponsoring a group outing on Saturday May 14, 2011 to the Levis/Trow Mound trails in Neillsville, WI (Clark County).  Whether you’re a hiker, biker, or just love the outdoors we encourage you to join us in checking out another great trail system that Wisconsin has to offer.

Levis/Trow Mounds provides more than 19-miles of single-track trails and an additional 15-miles of cross-country ski trails for riding.  It has some of the best trails in the mid-west with diverse riding ranging from beginner to advanced.  Levis/Trow also has more than 34-miles of scenic trails for hiking.  Additionally, there is a self-guided nature study trail which reviews a variety of natural resource features.  Similar to the bike trails, hikers will encounter a variety of terrain from a leisurely stroll to leg busting climbs.

We will be meeting at 9:00 am in the Best Buy parking lot.  From there we will travel together to the Levis/Trow trailhead.  Once at the trailhead we’ll enjoy a day of hiking and biking.  After everyone has worked up an appetite HPT will light the grill and provide lunch and a cooler of beverages for everyone.  Then you can hang out for the rest of the afternoon or hit the trails again.

If you’re a biker it will cost you $5.00 for a trail pass which is available at the trailhead.  No fee is required to hike the trails.  Dogs are allowed on the trails, but must be on a leash.
