The COulee REgion Patrol (CORE) is officially registered with IMBA and the National Mountain Bike Patrol!

Training is under way. Ann and Jeremy did an awesome job during our CPR/First aid training session held on March 23rd. We are fortunate to have them as certified instructors and willing to offer training to members at no charge. A special thanks to HPT for their support!

Those wishing to join the NMBP should review the application process on IMBA's web page. For those who want to join the NMBP and are IMBA members who plan to renew or have renewed within the past six months of application need only pay the difference of the respective joining fees. All who apply need to indicate their affiliation with CORE.

Check out the link below for IMBA and the NMBP video's.
To complete the process for membership to the NMBP one needs to:
  1. Have current certification in basic first aid and CPR:
(After speaking with Spencer Powlison, NMBP coordinator, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it I understand that the NMBP will consider accepting credentials from those with other training equivalent or above the basic CPR & First Aid. You would only need to submit your credentials with your application.)
  2. Successful completion of a mountain bike patrol training course taught by a local NMBP-affiliated group:
(Dan Glassic is the North Central Regional NMBP representative who lives in the Twin Cities area. We are currently negotiating a time for him to come to La Crosse to complete the required training some time in early May.)
  3. Passing grade on the NMBP On-line certification Exam. Found HERE

Very soon we will have an organizational meeting to further organize the structure of our patrol. The time and location of the meeting is to be determined. I will send an email to those whom have indicated their interesting joining our group as well as post a message in HPT's web page. Should you know of others who are interested in joining please put them in contact with me.

This is an exciting time for the trail system in the Coulee Region and HPT!  The development of a patrol further demonstrates our commitment to the La Crosse community. Should you have questions regarding the patrol please contact me.
