uman Powered Trails, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is: “To develop and maintain first class sustainable and environmentally correct, human-powered, shared use trails for the La Crosse, WI region."
The Human Powered Trails are located just outside of the City of La Crosse. On County Hwy FA. There is a trailhead and parking lot right next to the National Weather Service Station. Look for the big golf ball (weather ball) in the sky! To get there by car...
From La Crosse. Take Bliss Road (East) up Grandads Bluff. Once you get to the top, take a left (North) on Hwy FA, and in less than one mile you're there!
If Bliss Road is closed...(It's OPEN!)
Take State Road 33 East out of La Crosse for approximately 2 miles.
Turn Left (North) on Hwy F and follow it approximately 2.5 miles.
Turn Right (North) on Hwy FA and go 1 mile to the "Big Blue" sign.
OR RIDE YOUR BIKE! If you want to ride up from the city, the TNT trail is open to bikes and starts at the Parking Lot for the Hixon Forest hiking trails (Milson Ct off of Hwy 16). Once you make it to the top, take a right on "Rim of the City Rd." and another right on Hwy FA.
