CLEANED UP! - Spring Trail Clean up 4 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 2
Here's an update on trails that have been cleared of leaves and debris with the blower thus far:
1. Quarry Trail from the parking lot (at the end of FA)to Imberm is done
2. Imberm is done
3. Stinky's is done
4. Skeeter is done
5. Top of french connection to intersection of Quarry trail is done
6. There is one tree down on Quarry trail and one tree in the pines on Quarry trail that need chain saw attention.

The blower is available to useif anyone is interested. Please contact Dan L., Mike C. (Frenchy), Roger, Aaron, or Matt K. for access to blower.
Clearing the leaves will drastically speed up the trails opening sooner so don't hesitate to contact us.

boB Trail is done. Abyss is done. French Connection is done.

Aaron did the south side also.

I think all that needs to be blown off yet is the Still Hill area and around the Lost Loop trail area.

Take about an hour.

Frenchy

I think we're done blowing off the trails! I did still hill and lost loop area, moonshine, the part of abyss uphill of frnech connection and anything else I came across that needed it (which wasn't much). It was pretty cool finally getting to use the blower, way better than a rake. Using a rake agan would feel like riding a Huffy up b.o.b.! I had my set-up dialed in, MX goggles to keep all the dust and stuff out of my eyes, and my mp3 player with noise isolating earbuds under the earmuffs so I could rock out!

A friend of mine and I got out on the trails this weekend. Just wanted to say they're in awesome shape, thanks to everybody that helped clean em up! (they were perfectly dry in most areas)

There was one tree down...I think it was on the uphill portion of OB1, it was too big for us to move. Other than that all was clear.

I'm really hoping I can find a job in LaCrosse again this summer so I can help with trail work. I actually miss it.

Do you ladies and gents send out an e-mail in advance of new trail work days that are going to happen? I suppose I could just check here every so often...

I'm new to the area and would like to help out when possible and also meet some people to ride with. I was up at HPT Saturday and did some hiking with the girlfriend and the trails look excellent. It looks like you all have done some tremendous work out there.

Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself...maybe I'll stop in at Howies tomorrow and meet you some people in person.

Cheers,
Dan

Starting April 20th at 5:00pm are the regular scheduled trail work days. Also there are addition days that may interest you and this information can be found on the calender under the "news" heading up top!

Hope this helps, HPT is always looking for more help on trail building nights!
